Our history
Hello, I am Marylee Turpo Vargas, founder of PERU CULTURAL, a project that saw the light after the pandemic, at a time when the world needed to reconnect with its roots, with nature and with the stories that make us unique. I am a professional tour guide and proud daughter of Llachón, a magical village located on the shores of the majestic Lake Titicaca, in Puno. This place, full of ancestral traditions, breathtaking landscapes and a living culture, has been my home and my greatest inspiration for as long as I can remember.
Since I was a child, I knew that my life would be marked by travel and meeting people from different corners of the world. I was fascinated by listening to stories, learning about other cultures and, above all, admiring those entrepreneurs who, with effort and passion, transformed their dreams into reality. I grew up surrounded by people who taught me the value of honest work, perseverance and love for our roots, and today I thank them for having instilled in me those principles that are the basis of everything I do.
Today, doing what I love is my greatest achievement. Every day is a new adventure, an opportunity to inspire, learn and contribute to the sustainable development of the communities we visit. PERU CULTURAL is more than a venture; it is a dream come true, a bridge between cultures and a tribute to the roots that made me who I am.
